Pete Molenaar named Head of Corporate Banking
Senior corporate and commercial banking expertise broadens firms capabilities.
ATB Capital Markets is pleased to announce Pete Molenaar has joined ATB as Head of Corporate Banking. Pete brings over 28 years of experience with major Canadian financial institutions and has established a long-standing track record of success in commercial and corporate banking.
Pete’s expertise includes risk management, credit structuring, capital markets, trade finance and treasury management. His experience spans across the energy sector to include upstream oil and gas, midstream, and oilfield services, as well as agriculture, agribusiness, forestry, manufacturing, transportation and retail.
Prior to joining ATB, Pete was Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking for Western Canada at a large multinational financial institution. Prior to that, he was Vice President and Head of Western Canadian Commercial Banking and National Head of Agriculture at a large Canadian financial institution. Pete holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Montana State University and an MBA from Dalhousie University.
Pete served as a board member for the Canadian Business Growth Fund (CBGF) until April of 2022. The fund connects business leaders and sector experts to help entrepreneurs and businesses achieve their potential by providing long-term, patient, minority capital to fund growth and expansion.
