How to lock and unlock your debit card on ATB Personal
Learn how to disable and re-enable transactions for your debit card on the ATB Personal banking website.
Can’t find your ATB debit card? Lock it down quickly and easily so that no one else can use it (all transactions are declined) while you track it down. If you find your missing card, you can unlock it and start using it right away.
- Log in to ATB Personal.
- From the Overview screen, click More in the primary navigation.
- Or you can click the three dots to the right of the quick links on any deposit account details screen and click Manage debit cards
- From the More menu, click Account services.
- In the Account services menu on the left, click Manage debit cards.
- On the Manage Cards screen, (if not already selected) select the debit card you want to lock or unlock.
- If ATB has already locked your card due to suspicious activity, you’ll see a message noting that and directing you to call the ATB Client Care team.
- Below the image of the card, toggle Lock card ON or OFF as desired.
- If locking a card, you will see a modal explaining the implications of doing so and asking you to Confirm your decision to lock the card.
- If unlocking a card, to help ensure the security of your online banking, you may be challenged to verify your identity using two-factor authentication.
- You’re all done!
