Frequently Asked Questions
Paying with your mobile smart device can be even more secure than using your plastic card. Mobile wallets like Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay™ and Garmin Pay™ use tokenization to create a separate digital transaction account number, which means your actual account and card details aren't shared.
If you lose your card, you can give us a shout and we'll issue a new one—but while you wait for the physical plastic card, you can continue using the card in your smart device. (Adding your Mastercard to your smart device is a great thing to do before you go on a trip.)
You should be able to pay with your mobile smart device at any point-of-sale system that accepts contactless payment (tap)—though some merchants decide to not accept mobile wallet payments. Some mobile wallets also allow you to make payments online and within apps.
Of course! Any perks, rewards or points you earn with your normal Mastercard purchases apply to Mastercard purchases you make using your mobile wallet.
