COVID-19 Customer Relief Program
If you've been impacted by COVID-19, we have a few ways to help
By ATB Financial 13 April 2020
We know that nothing seems normal right now. Here at home, and around the world, the spread of COVID-19 has created anxiety and uncertainty. While you may be worried about your loved ones and your community, ATB can help relieve some of your financial worries. We’ve created some relief measures to address the challenges you may be facing right now and we’ll keep working to meet your needs as the situation evolves. Together, we’ll get through this.
Personal banking customers
For those have experienced any kind of job loss or interruption as a result of COVID-19, we want you to be able to focus on your day-to-day needs. We can help you defer payments on any of your ATB loans, lines of credit, mortgages and Mastercard® for up to six months* so you can put your money where it’s needed most, right now.
If you need access to money, you can cash in the full balance of any non-redeemable ATB Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) before its maturity date without penalty. Please note, your redemption interest rate will be 0%, not the full certificate rate.
Starting April 13, we can help with savings on credit card interest owed with a reduced interest rate of 9.95% for three months on any eligible ATB Mastercard.** You can request access to this option on it’s own, or in combination with a request to defer your Mastercard payments.
To discuss any of these options:

In addition to payment deferrals on loans, lines of credit and Mastercard® we can also provide access to additional working capital.*

If you have an inquiry that isn’t urgent, please consider waiting a few days before contacting us so we can help those most in need first.
*RRSP Express and RRSP Max It loans are not eligible for the deferral program. During the deferral period, interest will continue to accrue at the interest rate of your applicable loan, line of credit, mortgage or Mastercard. Some conditions apply, so please contact ATB for further details.
**Any ATB Mastercard account with a 19.90% interest rate is eligible for the three month interest rate reduction, unless the account is delinquent. For those who qualified for a deferral on an eligible ATB Mastercard prior to April 13, the interest rate reduction will automatically be applied starting on your next statement.
