As part of Canada’s Agriculture Day celebrations, ATB hosted a virtual breakfast webinar called Confessions of a Combine.

“We wanted to bring together our families and the agricultural community to celebrate and share with those who work tirelessly to provide the food we eat,” said Jonathan Neutens, VP of Agriculture at ATB.

The event, in partnership with the United Farmers of Alberta, uncovered several of the biggest challenges the agriculture community faces. From discussions around championing agriculture, to preparing the next generation of farmers, to mental health and farm wellness, no subject was off limits with this panel of experts.

“When we reached out to get farmers involved, we were surprised how quickly they responded and then how willing they were to share,” said Scott Samoleski, Customer Strategy Lead at Vera Causa Inc., who helped gather participants for the virtual breakfast. “I think it’s a good reminder of the passion they have for their industry and the significance of genuinely listening to their opinions”
