Edmonton—ATB Financial is ready to live on the Brightside. Alberta’s financial institution has a new, free app that helps Albertans do what they love and save at the same time.

Built with leading technology, the Brightside app offers customers a way to start saving without switching banks since it connects directly to wherever Albertans already do their day-to-day banking. Customers also have access to self-serve support, as well as a dedicated support team.

A select group of customers have had the opportunity to try the Brightside app over the last few months and now ATB is making the enriched digital banking experience available to even more Albertans.

“At a time when people are doing more of their business remotely on their phones and online, ATB is supporting them by rolling out this new app, giving them more convenience and control over their money,” said John Tarnowski, executive vice president at ATB Financial.

“With Brightside, we’ve created a seamless digital experience so Albertans can have more time to focus on the things they love and save at the same time.”

It takes just a few minutes to get started—people can sign up for an account with a selfie, order a spend card and set up saving features, all within the app on their phone.

With every purchase made with the Brightside Spend Card, customers will earn cash back rewards and will soon receive additional savings for using the card at select local businesses. The Brightside app also includes saving features, like Round Ups and Save Automagically, built to help Albertans save without giving up their everyday fun.
