Access to the ATB Business app is free for any holder or co-holder of an ATB client account that has registered for online business banking.
It’s important to remember that, even though access is free, if you make bill payments or transfers to external accounts using ATB Business, those transactions count toward the number included in your monthly account fee. If you exceed that transaction limit, you may be charged a fee based on the number and type of additional transactions. Transfers between your own ATB accounts are always free and do not count toward any monthly transaction limit.
ATB protects your banking information using multiple layers of security, including strong data encryption. ATB Business uses two-factor authentication, which provides an extra layer of protection that dramatically increases the security of your mobile banking.
We request access to your device location as we may need to confirm it (via GPS or network connection) to detect potentially fraudulent activity.
We also request access to data on your device status and identity (for example, your phone number, device ID, mobile network connections and service providers), which is similarly used to verify your identity in order to prevent fraudulent account access.
ATB Financial does not sell, share, or trade your personal information, nor do we permit its use by any other company or organization.
Yes, and here’s why—2FA is one of the best defences to stop fraudsters from stealing money. It can prevent up to 94% of fraud.
When you first log in to ATB Business, you’ll be asked to set up two-factor authentication using your mobile device or email address. When logging in or transacting, we’ll send you a text message or email with a unique code in order to authenticate your identity.
Yes, you can create additional online banking users for your account prior to moving to the new system by visiting the Administration tab in the current ATB Online Business platform. ATB Business does not allow you to share login credentials and passwords, meaning each unique user requires their own username and password.
If you’ve already shared your login and password to allow someone else to bank on your behalf, please contact us at 1-877-541-4984 so we can walk the administrator through setting up that individual with their own username and password.
